The Staying Grace and Foundation of God's Word

But the word of our God stands forever.  Isaiah 40:8
But the word of the Lord abides forever.  I Peter 1:25

Sunset.  The day ends with vibrant colour. No matter how hard a day is, the day ends.

Sunrise.  And a new day begins.

A new day with the soft hues of colour begin the day and with it the promise of God that His mercies are new, every morning.

The trees are starting the subtle shift towards fall. They're losing their green lustre.

The one thing that remains is the word of God.  Seasons come and go, changing the world around us as we see it; planting, blooming, letting go and rest.

But God promises that the one thing that remains through it all is His Word.  His promises, His truths remain; steadfast through every season.

In the summertime of blooming and growth, His word remains and is true.
In the letting go of what keeps us from Him in all the ways, His word remains and is true.
When the harsh winds of winter blow and fury reigns at times, God's word all remains and is so true.
And in the signs of life returning with the promise of warm days; hope, new green life; God's word remains and is true.

You may be in a season of bounty, of impact, of doing, your job is prospering, you feel fulfilled.
Your connecting with people and today's joys come easy.
But maybe you were overlooked for a job or in a friendship. You have your opinion or shared something close to your heart and no one got it or even really listened.
Maybe you lost a loved one or someone walked away or that diagnosis leaves you reeling and the joys of life seem distant today.

In whatever chapter or season you are living today the one thing that remains... God's word, His words of truth.  In all the subtle and not so subtle changes of life, God Himself remains and is present.

Sunset. Sunrise.
Spring, summer, fall, and winter.
God is and remains the one constant factor.

Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is living and active,

Go with God today, stay with Him and may His word go deep into the soil of your heart and take root; grounding you, settling you in each and every season you find yourself in.
