The Hope That Is As We Stay With Jesus

Yes, I have specific times I sit and read the words of God and have a conversation with Him on what is going on in my heart.  I ask Him for clarity when I don't have the words to know what is going on.  I write to process the happenings of the day and the reactions that sometimes burst forth from somewhere hidden or a place I once knew.  Conversations with Jesus are my lifeline.  But they don't stop at the specific times, it's a part of my rhythm as I go about the day.  Sometimes the tasks I do, bring a prayer, then I may liken it to something personal or a picture of who God is and offer a prayer for myself, my family, friends, or whoever the Lord brings to my mind.  Or as I wrestle with the hard, the pain; I have conversation with Jesus about it for He is ever present and a place of refuge.

Tea with Jesus conversations that I write will be a glimpse of some of these bits of my day.  So take from them what inspires you and know you're not alone as you go about your day.

Jesus -
Today I am grateful for hope.  The hope that comes with the new morning mercies you promised.  When I stay with You, I find that hope, for You are Hope and Love and Joy.  I ask You for clarity as something was stirred deep within me and I went to the flight response.  Where did that come from? (for I see a pattern and this is recurring)  Lord, You the Keeper of my soul; keep me and guide me.

 Tea with Jesus - Conversations in the daily moments of life Jesus - You are the Way, the Truth and the Life.   As the sun shines on my face, I give thanks.  The sun warms the body and allows physical life to be on this earth.  In the same way, You, the Son, warms my soul and allows the truest form of life to be.  You are the Life and give life and want to give it to me abundantly.  As I stay with You and claim Your Truth, I find Life.  Thank you for life. Choosing to Believe In the Midst of Disappointment and Finding Life

  "I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.  Do you believe this?"  John 11:25-26 These words were spoken to Martha as she met Jesus, who was coming to their place after Lazarus had died.  Jesus arrived four days after Lazarus was laid in the grave.  She met Jesus with her disappointment, after all, she had sent for Him to come.  She met Him, saying, - "Lord, if You had been here my brother would not have died."  And in the midst of her disappointment she held faith - "Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You." And then Jesus reveals a bit of Himself to her with the words that He is the resurrection and the life and she responds to Jesus' question - "Yes, Lord; I have come to believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God and He who comes into the world."
