Jesus - The Truth, That Sets You Free

 





And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.   John 8:32

Jesus is the Truth. And He can set you free! 

Free from the lies we believe about ourselves, about Him, of how we've interpreted and framed the hard things we've experienced. 

I know all about this and I'm sure you do too.

Because the enemy that came to Eve those many years ago, comes to us, whispering, distorting truth, distorting our view of God, twisting His words; just like he did to Eve.

Satan said, "Yeah, hath God said?" And the words he continued to say twisted what God actually said. 

This enemy is still our enemy, prowling around to see who he can devour; stealing, killing the life and truth of God in our hearts. He is bent on destroying God and uses what happens to us to get us to run away from God; running from Life itself.

When those hard moments happen, the rejection, the loss of a loved one, etc; Satan delights in whispering those lies and twisted truths of ... is God really for you? Does He care? You're all alone. Those people don't like you, you're no good. And on it goes...

Jesus conquered death. He is a Victor and when we choose to believe Him, we too have the power to be a victor and not a victim to our enemy. 

Friends, fellow-sojourners, let's keep fighting, staying with Jesus and believing His words of truth instead of the twisted truth of our enemy.

Choosing to Believe In the Midst of Disappointment and Finding Life

  "I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.  Do you believe this?"  John 11:25-26 These words were spoken to Martha as she met Jesus, who was coming to their place after Lazarus had died.  Jesus arrived four days after Lazarus was laid in the grave.  She met Jesus with her disappointment, after all, she had sent for Him to come.  She met Him, saying, - "Lord, if You had been here my brother would not have died."  And in the midst of her disappointment she held faith - "Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You."
