Peace, Because of the Prince of Peace
Glory to God in the Highest and on earth Peace... Luke 2:14
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world. John 16:33
And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush, Peace, be still. Matthew's 4:39
This season, not all is joy and holly. Joyous occasions give way to the stark contrast of who or what is missing, lost, and the hard we carry within.
It's like a light in the dark, quite noticeable and obvious.
Jesus came. He came in the dark and not all was peace. He, The Light, the Prince of peace, the Great I AM, came.
Darkness, hard, babies are slain, cries sounded and echoed.
But Jesus came. He is here to bring hope, light, and peace. He wants us to know Him. Storms, darkness, and hard, teach us things about Him if we stay with Him. He tells us to have courage. And as we come on the other side of the storm, what we learn about Him and the realization of what we walked through, is a treasure in the darkness.
Jesus sometimes calms the storms and other times He calms our hearts within the storm.
He promises to be with us, Immanuel. He is Peace and when we choose to stay with Him, we find something beyond the storm. We find Him, Immanuel, the Prince of peace.
