Light

And the earth was formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over  the surface of the waters.
Then God said, "Let there be light; and there was light.    Gen 1:2-3

Beauty out of nothing... LIGHT.
Light out of darkness.

If God can do that with the void of the earth, can He not take the empty, dark, and void of my heart and shed His light and create beauty??

Yes! He can!

Choosing to Believe In the Midst of Disappointment and Finding Life

  "I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.  Do you believe this?"  John 11:25-26 These words were spoken to Martha as she met Jesus, who was coming to their place after Lazarus had died.  Jesus arrived four days after Lazarus was laid in the grave.  She met Jesus with her disappointment, after all, she had sent for Him to come.  She met Him, saying, - "Lord, if You had been here my brother would not have died."  And in the midst of her disappointment she held faith - "Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You." And then Jesus reveals a bit of Himself to her with the words that He is the resurrection and the life and she responds to Jesus' question - "Yes, Lord; I have come to believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God and He who comes into the world."
